These are photos I took years ago of Our Lady of Health in Las Curces, New Mexico.
Our Lady of Health Catholic Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is a very beautiful, peaceful place to stop, pray, and visit. Not only is it a community focused Church, they open to any, and all who come to them seeking knowledge of Christ!
An interesting feature, that I don’t see in the Southwest too often, is the columbarium that is located on the Church grounds! What better to have your loved ones cared for than to have them interned at the Church they attended! I really wish more Churches would adopt this practice.
This Church has a history that dates back to the 1940’s. I could give you the condensed version of their history, but that would take so much from the story. Rather, click here to visit the Churches official webpage to read their history. I can promise you, you’ll be glad you took the time to read it.

Pope Francis has recently composed a prayer to Our Lady, Health of the Sick to implore her protection during the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
